In McKinney, North of Dallas

A dollar might not buy what it used to, but $50 million can still set up a grandiose new high school football stadium in the Lone Star State.
The latest megabucks football development in Texas is again in the Dallas area, with McKinney ISD school board set to vote on a brand new, 12,000-seat football and events facility for the high school. According to Frisco’s Community Impact Newspaper, the stadium would cost $50.3 million -- roughly one-fourth of the $220 million in potential bond items put forth at a March 1 McKinney ISD board meeting.

As with Allen, local taxpayers aren't hurting for money.

wow, I went to high school there for a year, the old stadium did suck, especially when you compare it to neighboring allen!

McKinney is very similar to Mandeville, upper middle class white folk

If they're using tax payer money, that is fricking insane. If it's 100% privately funded, then that's fine..

If it's put to a vote and they agree to an additional tax to pay for it, I don't see a problem.
