I actually got the Roman numeral version the year each of my kids were born. For example, my daughter was born in 2008 so for her I've got MMVIII while my son who was born in 2001 has MMI.

Not all kids want a tattoo celebrating themselves somewhere on their "old man's" body. If a father wants to honor his kids, he can stay around, support them and correctly raise them. That says much more than any $400 piece of 'art'. Put the tattoo money into a college fund. Pretentious, moi?

Thanks for helping me solidify my point...

So now you know....

1. What he's kids want
2. He's leaving his kids
3. Is not making any plans for their college.

Sounds like you're the pretentious one.

Because, obviously, OP has thoughts of up and leaving his kids behind.

Nothing personal to the OP. He may be a Father of the Year at some point. My point is that it is much easier to get a tattoo than to raise children. Some fathers with tattoos are guilty of lip service.

And a lot of fathers with 0 tattoos are as sorry as a sack of shite but I don't judge them based on their lack of tattoos dedicated to their kids.

Bottom line Junior, if you think you can judge how good or bad of a parent someone is just because they've got some tattoos, you've got a lot to learn about this world.
