Exactly, don't listen to the collection of miserable dipshits on this board. If you want a tat, or 50 tats go for it. It's none of their business. And before any of the usual assholes claims the OP made it your business by posting this thread, you're wrong and can go frick yourself. OP asked for ideas and suggestions. Unless you've got a real idea or suggestion nobody wants to hear your pathetic attempt at being an a-hole to the OP.
To the OP, I recommend doing your homework here, find a reputable tattoo artist in your area and schedule a consultation appointment. Go sit down with them and bounce ideas off them and look over some of their past work. Take your time and come up with the right tattoo for you.

I already have my first girl's initials.
I'm getting my next two kid's zodiac sign combined somehow or another and getting one on the inside of my arm above my elbow. That way, any of the OT posters with the perfect bodies can't see it if you're not looking.
I'll be moving my 1979 model trailer into a trailer park at some point next week. Complete with tin foil on the windows if anyone wants to come hang out.

Not all kids want a tattoo celebrating themselves somewhere on their "old man's" body. If a father wants to honor his kids, he can stay around, support them and correctly raise them. That says much more than any $400 piece of 'art'. Put the tattoo money into a college fund.

One of my buddies had his kids hand print (how they do the feet stamp at the hospital when they are born). The name is in the middle of the palm with their birthdate. I have zero tattoos and his is actually nice.
