You can't hide from the truth, man.

However, there's an underground theory saying deep underground, nuclear detonations are being used to facilitate oil exploration.
I think they tried that one time and it contaminated the entire reservoir.

The really deep theories state these detonations are used to create natural disasters.
South La. needs no help creating natural disasters. Besides it wouldn't actually be natural would it?

the Navy base has been doing more fly over lately as well.
you mean the Rattlers robbed enough parts off of those old Hornets to get a two ship in the air?

I don't know who was flying today, but yesterday morning it was the Air Force. About 10:20, we were getting ready for my mother's interment and a pair of F-15s approached from the south and did a loud, tight ~270 degree counter-clockwise turn almost directly over our heads and flew off in the general direction of Belle Chasse. A couple of minutes later, we saw a single F-15 flying upriver and then turning back towards Belle Chasse, although not as dramatically as the pair.
My dad was AF and he would have liked to have seen it!

I'd say it was something with the port. Haven't been around at night for the last weeks, but I would guess containers being moved or even containers flexing due to heating during the day then cooling at night.

It might be the illegals beating on the sides of the containers as they are loaded onto ships to leave the country.

It's def not anything from the port.

That would be awesome if they were equipped like Rat Patrol and went at it.

I've heard it 2 times, it's multi loud booms in a row, very loud. no way it's that far away. It sounded like it was coming from just down the block. No quite a gun shot, but no way fireworks.

No way, 100% no way. I've heard it twice, it's very close to sounding like gun fire, but not exactly.

When I was leaving downtown, around Poydras and Claiborne, today at 4:30 I heard what sounded like a loud explosion.

Don't know if this has been posted, coming from a country boy - air cannons keeping birds out the crawfish ponds - just like fan noise, can't sleep without it!!

Problem is, every time I've heard it, it was 5 or 6 loud bangs in a row, never just one.

Typical response of those without an argument or the capability to produce one.

It's air cannons - it's multiple air cannons set on a timer for some reason. They use them in the country at night to keep birds out the crawfish ponds.
