No. The yard is empty, I assume you mean the old Avondale main yard, upriver from the Huey P. Long?
That "closed" in 2013, but there are still engineers and architects working there.

Damn it's been closed that long?
Seems like it was just a couple years ago they finished that military vessel that they were towing up to NY for the 9/11 day stuff

Dang. The fly over that just happened was pretty loud. Navy getting ready for Jan 21 I guess

I just came home to let the dog and our make a sandwich and heard the fly over. Nothing out the ordinary. But I feel the Navy base has been doing more fly over lately as well.

I've been hearing them every night at almost exactly 11:45pm . No idea what it is. But it's not fireworks or gunshots. It's not a pop. It's a low roar boom. Like artillery cannon fire.
That consistent timing of it is wired to me.

They go off at almost the same time every night, very close to me (Napoleon/Mag). Sounds like they're coming from the south and it does sound like a big firework, with the "crackle" after the boom.
Very odd.

Chemtrails being released over the city can cause these sounds

I live on St. Charles and Louisiana and it's getting annoying as hell.

Isn't there a rail yard along the river there? Could it be trains hooking up to rail cars?
Posted on 1/11/17 at 2:54 pm to Jcorye1
I heard it in Ponchatoula around 1030 this morning. Sounded like it came from the SW

I'm in the channel between Jackson and Washington and hear it often but never pay attention what time it is..
I don't hear anything after like fireworks. Just a deep boom

These weird noises seem to have two common traits: near industrial areas and occur often when the weather is acting up. I think that explains most of them. However, there's an underground theory saying deep underground, nuclear detonations are being used to facilitate oil exploration.
The really deep theories state these detonations are used to create natural disasters. For example, some believe the Haiti earthquake was a result of these things, so that the Clinton Foundation and various companies around the world could make money during the fundraising and rebuilding efforts.
