A paternity test should be obvious... but if a few of those are rounded off and you count for the 9 months of pregnancy the numbers can work.

I am going to assume in true OT fashion, this became 4 pages of arguing about the age of the guy and the kid in question. "Hold up, who gives a shite about a minor rape victim being forced to pay child support, the math is all fricked up!"

What a joke.

Tell a female stat rape victim they need to pay child support and the SJWs would lose their fricking minds

Under the law, if female stat rape victim had a child, and then the father raised the child and was never convicted of a crime, and the father was on public assistance, the state would be required to go after the mother for child support just like they're going after the father in this case. My guess is, that situation is even rarer than this situation by quite a lot, and it's possible it's never happened at all.

You guys love to complain about SJW's crying sexism over nothing, but you all do it even worse. This issue is about the state forcing a victim to pay child support, which is wrong no matter the gender, but of course the only thing the OT wants to do is cry about the supposed plight of the 21st century American man.

parts of our legal system are pretty fricked up, you still have to defend yourself and/or do damage control, hell, in some states you can be separated from your wife pending divorce, she gets knocked up while whoring around, and you're on the hook for c/s, subject of thread leads to doing some math

By extension, if you donate sperm to a sperm bank, and they track you down.

Do you have to pay up?

that's been discussed on here before, I don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me if that were the case

never got the required paternity test.

This is where he screwed up. If some chick from 6 years ago claimed I impregnated her and was demanding child support - first thing I'd do is get a paternity test.

I'm no lawyer, but I want to say that when they sign up to receive from a sperm bank, they sign away their right to child support.

At least I hope. I also wouldn't be surprised if someone has tried to get child support from a donor.

I know, but it took normal people 4 seconds to figure it out. The OT needs 4 pages to get it.

You were the last post. It wasn't directed at you, and it was just a funny (to me) observation.

The situation is unfortunate, but is not the childs fault....why should the child suffer? it didnt choose to be born.

There is no statute of limitations on rape, right? I would hire an attorney and say this has brought back suppressed memories and I now realize I was raped..press charges, take custody, send the whore to prison.

It's sad when a father dies do, but we don't get to resurrect him and force him to pay child support.

The situation is unfortunate, but its not the father's fault... why should the father suffer? He couldn't legally consent to rape.

Again, this is not the mother seeking child support to help pay for her child's expenses. The mother was on public assistance. This is the state seeking child support to recoup the costs of paying for the mother's public assistance.

On one hand he is the father, and I can see the baby wanting to know who her dad was.

Crazy young to be a dad though. She also raped him. I don't know, but he should have lawyered up when he got served.

You are shitting me right? You do understand she would have had to give the state the name of the father for them to just be contacting him now? She found out where he was, found out he had an education and a job, and turned his name into the child support office and they collect TO GIVE THE MONEY TO HER!

That's not how it works kiddo. States go after people for child support to stock their own coffers all the time.

back pay a kid he had no idea about

CS starts when they file the demand. So, he got served "two years ago", and ignored it. The back due is from the date they filed it, not from birth.

First thing to do is to get a DNA test. This chump may not even be the father, and he is stuck paying bc he didn't contest it.
