That math is fricked somehow.

And regardless, if it's true then it's complete bullshite. It amazes me how badly men can get fricked in paternity situations. It's pretty scary.

The most well-known case was of a Kansas boy who, at age 13, impregnated his 17-year-old baby-sitter. Under Kansas law, a child under the age of 15 is legally unable to consent to sex. The Kansas Supreme Court in 1993 ruled that he was liable for child support.

California issued a similar state court ruling a few years later in the case of a 15-year-old boy who had sex with a 34-year-old neighbor. In that case, the woman had been convicted of statutory rape.

In both cases, it was the state social-services agency that pursued the case after the mother sought public assistance.

"The Kansas court determined that the rape was irrelevant and that the child support was not owed to the rapist but rather to the child," said Mel Feit, director of the New York-based advocacy group the National Center for Men.

The situation is unfortunate, but is not the childs fault....why should the child suffer? it didnt choose to be born.

Legally, he could not consent to impregnate her. The state doesn't want to foot the whole bill. Why would you assume that the kid is suffering?

Math tells you that if he's 24 and the kid's 6, he didn't impregnate no skank when he was under 15...

He should pay up

Nothing adds up.

Found out he had a 6 year old at 22.

22-6=16

Had sex with her at 14.

That's not how it works kiddo. States go after people for child support to stock their own coffers all the time.

Wrong. They go after NO ONE if the fathers name is not given to them, period! If they are just now contacting him, it is because she just gave them the name. I know this from personal experience of a family member.

I wouldn't bet on it, but I think she may have waited a certain amount of years for a reason. Again, what is the statute of limitations on this type of crime?

I do understand what you are saying, or trying to, but they would not wait this long.

Also, my brother has a child with a mother was was on assistance many years ago. There was a yearly sheet sent out to her to make sure her support was being paid by me. If not, the letter stated they would retrieve it for her if he wasn't either thru garnishment or other means (court). Once it gets to the point of being court ordered, they collect it automatically and it is sent to her by them.

Maybe she didn't get pregnant the first time?

But Olivas didn't press charges and says he didn't realize at the time that it was even something to consider.

Well, duh.

At 14, all you know (or care about) was that you hit it.

22-6 = 16.

You forgot about the 9 month pregnancy though.
