St George supporters strike me as the type of people who respond to good questions with pitchforks.

I also lol @ people in Louisiana who doubt that state political forces could ever be corrupt. Does St George have cave dwellings that I am unaware of?

Yes, this is one of the key speakers at the last Better Together meeting. Drunk public servant driving fire trucks around with a DWI on his record.

The difference is that the petition for St. George can take its sweet time obtaining signatures as there is no time limit. The opposition's petition is literally pointless. I heard they were gonna sell the list when this is over with

I would love an unbiased list of pros and cons for both scenarios.

Can someone provide that? 10 best and worst things about each scenario. (stay together or split into two)

Thats all a voting public needs. How are you going to convince the public to vote on this if you are not taking advantage of every opportunity to get your message out? If you cant handle meetings or the media, then how are you going to convince me that this is a good thing?
Even the website is full distracting nonsense.

Doesn't matter. Justice Department alone will tie it up for years even if it does pass. Plus all sorts of other litigation will happen. City is going to poach and pick off all the big tax bases anyway like the Mall and Lauberge.

It's DOA before it even passes.

Lionel Rainey backed out like a pussy.

Sorry St. George supporters, your cause is a dead one.

The ignorance by the opposition, mainly Russian, in this thread is laughable. There have been numerous debates between Rainey, St.George, and Better together. There is one tonight actually, you all just don't know where. :)

If you think support for the St.George movement is waining, you are in for a big surprise....but thats how we like it.

More Three Stooges show. "We're having a debate..yada yada yada..but we're gonna play games and not say where or when"
Exactly the kind of thing that making you guys look like a bunch of goofballs and make people wonder if you manage a political movement this poorly how the hell you gonna mange a brand new city?

You can call it whatever you want, but if you think St.George fears debating the opposition, you're dead wrong.

If you are so strongly opposed, and so well informed, I can only assume "Better Together" would have you participating in their debates, because you couldn't possibly do any worse than they have been. Go watch them debate, and you will quickly realize who is backing out of what, and why.

Are you Curley, Moe or Joe? You just told me it was a double naught secret debate time and location.

Now're you're telling me to go watch.

Your movement is obviously terrified of press coverage at these events cause they keep failing to show up or cancel.

St George PR team won the secret debates. No recording equipment was allowed, but you shoulda been there. They recited some non-factual talking points and all the opposition could say was "I need ur money, u racis!"

Take their word for it.

It's not a secret for anyone informed. Again, if you are in such opposition and so well informed together br would be glad for you to represent them, and I'm sure they will tell you where to be.

St.George was invited to speak/debate, and they will be there. You can easily pose these same media questions to Together BR. You are still mistakingly assuming it was St.George who backed out of the debate at LSU. That article was a stunt, and you fell for it.

I'm pretty informed on this issue and haven't heard anything about a debate this week?

Your leaders will never accept a true debate where the public is open to ask any question they like and cameras are rolling.

You'd think they'd be more polished, after a year of preparing, and having a professional political consultant lead the charge. My 11 year old nephew could wax the floor with the average politician from North Baton Rouge. Its the public SG organizers scared of.

As would I.

Admittedly I'm pretty uninformed on this whole debate, but just from reading this thread the St. George supporters in here just seem to be saying "Nuh uh, you guys are stupid"

Then you aren't that informed, sorry. I'm not part of the host organization, so its not my place to invite guests. That said, as I have stated repeatedly, Together BR will be there and they are always looking for informed, intelligent speakers and debaters. If you would like to participate on their behalf, contact together br. You can't possibly be any worse than they have been.

What's the point of an exclusive underground debate?
