Wow, reading about all these wives making men go to church, it really makes me appreciate my godless whore of a partner.

I have been going to Bethany for years. I love it. Great worship, solid doctrinal teaching, overall solid community ties. If all you are getting out of it is that a few folks speaking in tongues bothers you, and you are overlooking all the other great things, then sorry man.

Absolutely fake. Not sure where Protestants got "speaking in tongues" in the bible to mean blabbering gibberish instead of meaning speaking different languages.

I go to a large non-denominational church in Scottsdale(it's a bible-based church).
Never in the 8 years I've been going there have I heard anyone speaking in tongues.

I've gotta great car for sale. It has low mileage and handles like a dream. Yeah it might be a little bit on fire, but if you can't look past the flames and see what a deal this car is, you are overlooking all the other great things, then sorry man.

Mass isn't about you and what you "get". I understand the sentiment, but it helped me to look into why things are the way they are in mass and what it means. It'll make a lot more sense.
