Did this a few times when building my house. If liked a certain type of brick or paint scheme or maybe even a lantern I would take a pic of the house so I could paint or build my house similarly. In fact the brick company gave me addresses where they had delivered certain types of bricks that I liked so I could see them on a finished house.

did you have your house appraised recently or just buy it. Had an appraisal a few years ago and after people would stop by and take pictures of my house, when I confronted a guy one time, I found out he was a realtor.
