As I was coming out of my garage I saw her with her phone turned sideways, then she looked at me and drove off casually. A woman and someone else. No time to get the plate, and I would have jumped in the car and ran them down but I had my kid at the house. Do I need to lawyer up, or am I going to get a yard of the month sign posted in my yard?

Your insurance agent just took a pick to show you replaced your roof.

Either that or you have AIDS. Take your pic...

when this happened to me, I was able to catch the person, and it was just a lady that had lived in the house as a girl in the 60s and wanted to take a picture to show her elderly mom

You seem paranoid. Maybe they just liked your landscaping.

It was just a couple who are currently building a house and they liked something about yours. So, she took a picture to remember.

Relax.

Don't be paranoid.

They might have liked some feature on the outside of your house and wanted a photograph.

They might like your house and being showing an architect "This is what we want the outside of our house to look like."

If it is an older house, perhaps their parents lived there, or maybe even she lived there as a kid.

There are a lot of non-nefarious reasons for this.

ETA: As I typed this, others posted all the alternatives.

Then maybe someone just liked how your house looked or your yard.

could be they like the design, paint color, or landscaping

I've done the same with paint colors.
