Let's get this party started. Supposedly, we will have 93.7% totality.

I'm practicing up by staring at the sun now without glasses. By eclipse time, I hope my eyes are already adjusted so no need for the glasses.

I don't think there is anything magical about the eclipse when it comes to destroying your vision. If you glance at the sun you don't go blind, so I assume the same applies here.

but yeah I assume if you stare at it with regular sunglasses you'll be blind as hell

Get out in that park and do your report. I think footballs fly farther when thrown during an eclipse because of a reduction in gravity. Give it a try and report.
