I have nowhere else to turn, so I come here with my protocol question.

A guy (male) in our company and his (male) significant other went to Las Vegas last week and got married.

I thought what happened in Vegas stayed in Vegas, but apparently that's not always the case.

Here is my question:

When a guy marries a guy, is a case (24 count shipper)of Personal Lubricant an appropriate wedding gift?

When it comes to vintage 2015 social normality I am a dinosaur and have no answers to these questions.

Thanks in advance for your thoughtful answers.

Are you personally close? Otherwise get together and get an "office" gift from everyone. Let the women pick it.

I'd say highly not appropriate. I'd get them what you get other newly married couples. Have everyone in the office chip in and get a bed, bath, and beyond gift card or something like that.

I think that's completely disrespectful. He'll probably need at least double that so make it two cases. frick it, make it three. Cant ever be too careful.

Wrong Board, go to the More Sports Board and then the Arky and Ole Miss fans will be able to answer this query.

What the frick is the matter with you? You trying to give them a subtle hint that you want in? Why the frick would this thought even cross your mind?

Chaps are already assless, if they weren't they'd be pants.

He was gone a week and I was told they were married and honeymooned there. I haven't seen him since his return from the event.

Did you seriously make this joke without throwing in the A&M fans and their yell leaders?

Well that is not a legitimate marriage in Louisiana and, I am guessing, in Mississippi either, so no gift is probably warranted.
