Maybe the kid focused on other classes that he missed. He could have known that he knew the material he was present for so he prioritized what he could catch up on. Per usual, you think your math class is the center of the universe and make everything about you in the end. Way to mold young minds partner.

For an Anthroplogy teacher. I had a B in that class. BUT it was a bad enough offense to get me noticed by Disciplinary, who put me on a secret probation, so when I really did mess up, I went from brilliant college student to day laborer.

Not sure what kind of school it is that you work, but is this really the most eye opening thing you've seen on a test?
