I would take off the alotted number of points, then drop him or her a full letter grade for being a millennial pussy. This generation is so soft it's pathetic.

If you have to ask, you’re not a very good teacher, nor were previous teachers and parents.

Take it as an opportunity to teach that student about personal responsibility.

My thought is this, we covered that material two weeks ago and they have known our exam was today since school started in august. They are about to go off to college or the work force or the military, it's time they grow up. If you miss a day of school, go talk to your teacher when you get back to school and learn what you missed. Or is that too much to ask?

Said student frequents the OT and now knows your alter. Good luck finding a job in the future.

Never bring personal stuff to the OT.

People overuse this shite about millennials

I used to write funny pleas to my teachers and professors when I totally blanked. It probably never worked but it likely conveyed I wasn't totally stupid (just lazy). I'm sure the kid is well aware he's not getting shite for that response.

"In my day we just wrote 'I don't know' we weren't such pussies about it!!!!"

If it's a good student who genuinely tries to succeed in your class; grade the test accordingly. Then offer the student the chance to re-take similar questions for extra credit or points on this test after they have learned the material.

Remember, your job is to teach.

Make him solve every relevant question from the textbook for 1/2 credit. If you want him to learn, you'll have him do the work. If you don't care if he learns, you're a bad teacher

Holy shite he must be teaching a bunch of dummies.

If you are teaching factoring by grouping (looked this up), finding GCF, then this shite is fricking trivial at best.

8x^3 + 4x^2 + 2x

GCF is 2x

2x(4x^2 + 2x + 1)

That's all they have to do????
