Yeah, I'd rather have a lawyer and not need one than need one and not have one. Better safe than sorry. I would consult an attorney.

As long as you don't want to get into med school, law school, nursing school, or many other professions you will be fine.

It will always show up on your background check and depending on security clearances you could be screwed.

I'd spend a lot of money fighting for it to never hit my record.

Even if you want to be a plant worker baw it could keep you from getting hired.

Meanwhile crack is sold/smoked out in the open all over NBR along with the robbery, rape, and murder that goes along with all that.

But I'm sure glad to know SWB and EBRPD is being diligent writing tickets to 20 year old frat baws drinking a beer.

You are overstating it.

This is not that big of a deal.

Just pay the fine and be on your way. No one (job wise) cares about that.

Yeah don't do that. That's dumb. Plenty of jobs, state licensing boards, and grad schools care too.

Assuming you have a clean record there's a number of ways to keep it off your record. Don't plead guilty and just pay a fine.

I think you might've done more harm than the OP with these leaps

Law school enrollment would drastically reduced if you couldn't get in with an MIP or DUI

Hell posting that info on here is a bigger frick up than the actual ticket. Way to potentially screw everyone else out of their well connected friend

I had 3 during my freshman year. First one got dropped, 2nd I went through the intervention program (costs about $750) and third one I just simply plead guilty to and they charged me like $50. That was 10 years ago.
