Should New Orleans statues be moved to Old State Capital grounds?

The Old State Capital building in Baton Rouge is a popular museum. It has a civil war connection and there is a show that talks about the ghost of the castle. The Louisiana Secretary of State oversees this museum.
I think it is important that these historical monuments stay in Louisiana. Does anyone else have any other in State suggestions.

They should go back on the pedestals they were taken off of.

That's one of the better suggestions I've seen...

I think the old state Capitol should be torn down.

Are you kidding me? That would start a shite storm bigger than what has happened in Nola. The BR blacks will have none of that and being that its in Capital grounds, the national race agitators would be all over it

Put the statues at workplaces, that way the only folks who will have to see them are workers...
I keed, I keed...

No, they shouldn't be placed in BR.

Send em to Camp Beauregard.

If we had a GOP governor this would be going so differently. There's a reason Mitch waited until Edwards won until he dreamed up this scheme.
It's Piyush's fault - if he would just managed to be a 2/10 instead of the 1/10 that he was for 8 years we'd have avoided a Dem Governor.

Mitch said he wanted them moved to a museum and this fits that request. Can anyone think of any other museums in Louisiana that could take these statues? It also has to be a place that has lots of room outdoors.

Landrieu COULD have made this really easy and "inclusive" if he had wanted to. He could have proposed a "War Memorial Gardens" in one of the city's parks, City Park, somewhere or Audubon Park. Put them all together with curated displays to explain and educate from BOTH sides of the racial divide, which is what he wants, a racial divide.
Some monument defenders might even have gone along with this. But no, he gets Malcolm Suber, and the incites racial acrimony to that he has some Democrat/Liberal/Leftist identity politics street credibility. He could have walked all this back ANYTIME but chose not to do so, likely in hopes of a position in a Clinton administration, and now, being mentioned in his own right. Instead he doubles down and works faster to spite his opponents.

It also already has a Monument of Confederate General and wartime Governor Henry Allen.

There is the Confederate Museum less than 100 feet away from Lee Circle...

Great idea. Also think La should remove the LSP contingent from that steaming pile of shite known as New Orleans. Let those corrupt assholes deal with the crime that is the fruit of their labors.

They have little land, and it's way too close to Lee Circle for anyone against the monuments to support moving them there. No, this is not about history or learning or anything else. This is pure "we-hate-you-and-your-history" fascism from TEDN, Mayor Landrieu, and now, the national Democrats who are floating his name as a trial balloon. All this plays well with Democrat identity politics and the media that enable and support it.
News media already parrots the TEDN talking points on racism and "white supremacy."
No, these will be hidden away until Mayor Landrieu needs some good publicity and/or wants more money whence he'll announce a project where anyone can PAY to go view them.

Jefferson Parish or a benefactor should buy them and erect them in JP. It would be better than some of the crap they call art on medians they have now.

As close to the 17th St. Canal as humanly possible.
