Not really something you can tell by looks man. I work with a guy who has random seizures and you couldnt tell by looking at him that he has any problems.

I know a guy that got his golden retriever certified to be a service dog so he can take him everywhere. This guy has no disabilities whatsoever, he just loves his dog. I think he paid like $75.

I thought about trying to get a service vest for my cat just for the laughs.

I notice fat women are getting them like the dickens.

i know majority aren't real service dogs, there are scams to get them looking like registered ones.

He might be legit sexaholic and the dog keeps her from jumping every guy's bones. You just don't know.

Yes, you should medicate someone with seizures instead of giving them a dog. Yes, you should medicate someone with severe PTSD instead of giving them a dog.

Newsflash: siezure meds don't prevent any and all seizures and PTSD episodes. They just reduce the amount and/or severity. The service dog is there to help alert the person that one is coming, and to get help if necessary.

This is the OT though...we can't be having real facts in this thread. You should know that by now.

It's BS. But everyone nowadays has an ailment of some kind so they can fall into a victim category.

Oh and their kids all have a learning "disability" of some kind as well. We're all borderline retarded and need special treatment and attention.

And sympathy.

My formerly rich SiL’s sister is a legit instagram fitness model and carries around some little ankle biter with her everywhere she goes.

She laughs at how she’s scamming the system and gets to bring her dog with her on planes.

Get back to me when you see a vet have an episode stemming from his PTSD after serving in a combat area. The ones used for diabetic patients who can detect your blood sugar drop while you're sleeping or for a seizure patient where they can detect the oncoming seizure is awesome.

The issue lies with the licensing for these pets. It's not extensive enough. But it certainly shouldn't give the impression that a healthy looking individual doesn't legitimately need one when they do.

Why do you care? Why does anyone?

As long as the dog isn’t eating your food, barking during your movie, or biting your ankles in the grocery store, what difference does it make in your life?

We are a very dog unfriendly place. But travel to places that are and it is the most normal thing in the world.

I’d rather sit next to a well behaved dog (service, therapy, or whatever) than a crying child.
