Also, what kind of crazy chick threatens a lawsuit over a phone? And I thought mine was bad.
Even if you do pay for it, go buy it yourself or work something out, don't just give her cash or anything of that nature. Also, as others mentioned, try just replacing the screen or going through her insurance.
I'm afraid she's trying to get easy money from you by threatening action and also asking for a brand new phone instead of a screen replacement or going through insurance.
