This is exactly what is going to happen. When it finally gets figured it out it'll be something that we with our limited knowledge won't understand. I seriously doubt the average person at the turn of the twentieth century could visualize a jet airplane or a man flying to the moon.

So the theories on how Egyptians could have possibly built the pyramids must have irrefutable proof to be credible?

And the next thought is to say aliens built them is the explanation.

So only the explanations you don't want to believe require proof?

ETA: In serious need of the KISS principle.

It must be nice to have all the answers to humanity's great questions: who constructed the great pyramids; how other life forms would travel through the universe; and who was responsible for, and how God and religion was developed.

Just curious, how old are you? I would like to get a better context of how much time it required for such a marvel such as yourself to develop this level of intelligence.

Wow, that is not what I said. I need to go to go horseback riding, but I can't let that statement stand.

I never said that. When all other hypotheses are excluded and the only one left that can't be refuted is alien assistance, then it is alien assistance.

If we can't figure out how primitives did it, 2000 years or more after the fact, then the primitives didn't do it alone. FACT.

Listen I would never call anyone retarded, but you might want to have some tests run

So you guys think humans 4,000-12,000 years ago were equally or more advanced than us?

Anyone who has researched ancient sites that used monolithic stones to build these great temples, pyramids, statues, etc, can tell you that many of those sites, if not all, had to be built by the same people or group. The building techniques are all the same, and most of these civilizations used hieroglyphics as their writing form. Hell two civilizations were on entirely different continents and had the same writing, which hasn't been deciphered yet. These people had to have a way to travel the Earth in fairly fast times, other than a ship to go all over the world and build these locations.

Also just b/c people have theories of how the pyramids, etc were built doesn't mean they are correct. I've seen that video of the guy moving heavy blocks by himself, but they only weighed a ton or something. Sure it might work for that weight, but moving some blocks that weights 1,000+ tons is an entirely different beast. Let me see some people move a block that weighs 50+ tons and I'll start to buy into more.

Also the builders of the pyramid used the "cubit" as their form of measuring. The cubit was determined by using the dimensions of the Great Pyramid. In 1925 researches came to call a cubit as being .5236 meters. Some believe they chose .5236 is b/c if you draw a circle with a diameter of 1, the conference is pi. Divide that circle into 6 equal sections, and you come up with .5236. Basically pi divided by 6.

That is some sophisticated math to come up with that for people 4,000+ years ago. There is much more I could post, but I gotta go right now and this came out longer than I wanted anyway. This is just so interesting to me. If these people did all that stuff with no alien help (ets or mexicans) then what happened to that knowledge and all the other questions that can be asked.

I don't have any of those answers, but just b/c we can't explain something that happened thousands of years ago doesn't mean i have to come up with a made up answer for it, such as aliens or God.
I'm perfectly fine thinking that i have no earthly idea if there's a God, or if an alien race has come up with a way to travel through space effectively and efficiently.

If you really think aliens have visited this Earth, you're retarded.
We found out water was on Mars, you think we will never go back now? Why would aliens come help build some rock structures, then never come back?

what a stupid statement

have they? idk. there are quite a few decent reasons to believe that aliens have visited, though.

Wow, I cannot believe the hate here for those who know that aliens have visited us, in both ancient and modern times. You've seen the evidence - the pyramids, the hieroglyphics, etc. that cannot be refuted.

It may not be conclusive, but there is at least a 90% chance aliens have been here, and been here often.

Thankfully, a couple of posters on this thread recognize the reality.

So you believe that all these primitive cultures could do all these miraculous things that we cannot currently explain (in spite of several thousands of years of cultural and scientific advances) AND that those of us who recognize that this likely means that they had advanced help are crazy?

Wow, you are the one that needs the "crazy" symbol.

Flight did not defy the known laws of physics even back then. Those were feats of engineering and design.

There is an arrogance when we think we are smarter than those who might live in other solar systems. I doubt our knowledge is 1/10000000 of what is out there.

I believe that every interest group tries to explain the orginis of life, even scientist; however, their theories are just that...theories - educated guesses from evidence that is 5 or 6 billion-years-old. The fact is, their theory is no better than the ones who claim God put us here or Aliens, because we just don't know.

Fwiw, I don't believe in Aliens, but I do believe in God -- the same God you scoffed at as a made-up something to explain our existence. Yet, your belief in evolution can be just as far fetched to others as the concept of God is to you. Example: the chances for bacteria to land here from a comet and develop into present day humans, is about the same chances I would have tearing my laptop into a thousand pieces and keep throwing it in the air until it falls back together in working order. It's as simple as this: respect my beliefs and I'll respect yours even though we don't agree!

Unfortunately, I think a good bit of that knowledge was lost when the Library at Alexandria burned. I think the very ancient civilizations were very advanced but in a different way than today. About at the level modern humans were in the 1700s. Something occurred to stall scientific discovery and sent humanity into a dark age. Perhaps an ancient plague but whatever occurred, it took a very long time for humanity to recapture.
