Haven't read this thread, but Leah Remini is a totally annoying bitch with lipo lips...If people are stupid enough to buy into tiny David Miscavige's BS, then let them knock themselves out.

I read Dianetics by LRH and that was some of the goofiest crap I ever saw. A person would have to be deranged to buy into this garbage.

Y'all are just jealous y'all haven't reached Thetan Level OT VIII(Truth Revealed). That's what John Travolta is, and he was in Pulp Fiction. All the evidence I need.

Do the Methodists not believe that every soul buried since the death of Christ will all rise together to heaven at the same time?
Club/Cult.
. Whatever...

Why single out methodists about this? All Christian's who believe in the Bible believe that all who have accepted Christ will do this. 1Thessolonians 4:16 "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first."

Quick story:

When I first moved to Santa Barbara, my wife and I took a walk downtown on State St. She wanted to buy some shoes or something, and the store was right next to a Scientology office. There was a lady standing in front of the door with two tin cylinders attached by a string in her hands, not unlike a childs version of a rudimentary telephone.

She asked me if I wanted to take a free "stress test". I said ok because I thought it would be a fun story to tell. She brought me inside, sat me down, and proceeded to ask me weirdly vague questions as I held these cylinders in my hands. The questions were aling the lines of "Do you ever feel unhappy?"

I looked around the office and saw a staircase leading to what looked like a makeshift bedroom. My blood ran cold and I politely but quickly told her I had to leave. She tried to hard sell me to finish the "test" but I pretty much bolted out of there.

I might have been being paranoid, but I really had a bad feeling about the womans coercive line of questioning.

Because people in general are weak minded and gullible no matter how much money they have.

I guess my main concern about this whole issue is, along with all the things they do to their members, that LRH was quoted as stating that if you want to make real money you should start a religion. Believe what you want to believe, free country after all, but at least acknowledge that this for profit religion was started by a science fiction writer to make money.

So were Jesus and Muhammed, but nobody says their religions are fake because of it. A lot of you seem to be intimidated by the truth you can feel emanating from the church. Why not explore that truth, what do you have to lose?
