Does it have to be pure safety? I did one on the Genovese Syndrome (Bystander Effect) that was very interesting. I love the psychology behind safety and human interaction though. Basic idea is that people tend to ignore other people if others are ignoring them. The traditional herd mentality. Whereas if ONE person intervenes or questions something, everyone else tends to also chime in.
Lightning Strikes would be good. My house was struck with me inside and caught fire, so those experiences could lead to interesting commentary.
ETA: "Drowning doesn't look like drowning" is very educational if no one has seen it. Most people don't appreciate that drowning is not the frantic ordeal it's made to be in movies.

Look up Tony Crow. He's a guy that was blinded in a hunting accident and speaks about safety not just on the job but at home as well.

Someone has the safety topic in the Sunday morning meeting.

I did safety presentations every morning for 8 months at my last job. Even held 8 hour safety meetings. I literally came up with everything under the sun...
Here are a couple of topics that got the conversation going that are outside the boring OSHA crap:
1. Internet safety (always use credit card when buying online items, information safety.. etc. A lot of those guys don't know this stuff)
2. Any natural disaster prep (having a home prep guideline for your family in the event of flood, tornado.. ect)
3. Intruder safety (when an intruder breaks into your home what are the safest ways to deal with it)
4. Driving safety (there are tons of videos that will do the work for you)
5. Home safety (I used to give small stories and make the guys say what went wrong and how the situation could have been avoided)
6. Hand safety (Tell them to take their safety glasses off and on with one hand, tell them to pick a quarter up off the ground without using their thumbs, or button their shirt without their thumbs. Stress the importance of having all your limbs)
7. Attitude safety (attitude is the #1 contributor to good safety. If you don't care about safety you're gonna get whacked)
8. Before helping someone consider the risks
9. Complacency
10. Or my personal favorite: Tell them to act like they're bringing their kid into work for their first day. Do you tell your children it's okay to stand on you toes on a ladder? No, you always tell them the absolute safest thing possible. Therefore you should mimic that same behavior while at work.
That's just a few. Type 'Safety Huddle Topics' in google and you'll find some more good ones.

It has always amazed me how people that did something outrageously stupid end up Safety consultants. I get bringing them in as quest speakers but shite.

We just did one for first aid until help arrives assuming you and your employees are certified in first aid. We also did one on three points of contact since we received an MSHA newsletter where the catwalk fell out from under an inspection party but no one was seriously injured.

How taking breaks every 30 minutes is important to keep you from becoming complacent.

Just show them this... the funniest safety video of all time. Whoever came up with this was a genius.

Funny and catchy.....do a safety presentation from the eyes of Bass, Perch, Specks, reds, anf crabs....what to watch for, nets, hooks, worms trolling motor sounds, fishing lines, traps, fake lures, artificial baits, I did one that turned out damn funny

Helicopter safety.
Step 1: get in the athletic position with your knees slightly bent, and place your feet about should length apart.
Step 2: unzip pants
Step 3: remove your member
Step 4: firmly grasp with your member with one hand while putting the other hand above your head
Step 5: hit that helicopter.

Do a science experiment demonstrating the point you are trying to drive home. I know it's not the same thing, but watching a piece of wood get kick backed into a melon and seeing it explode made me realize the dangers.

There's some pretty gruesome fall protection videos of what incorrectly worn harnesses can do to your junk if you fall. Makes my privates hurt just typing the memory.
