Downtown Biloxi, watching shite get wrecked. One block north of Hard Rock in the Vieux Marche, behind Mary Mahoneys.
Eta: Figured that if there was water in downtown, my home on Point Cadet in the East end of town was a goner. Walked down there the next day, found out that I was right.

Baton Rouge. Was hanging out at the Station that Saturday night when I decided I should head back to Jackson. I knew the interstates were completely slammed so I took Airline Highway to Vicksburg. Left at midnight. It was smooth sailing all the way through.

Tiger Plaza. Balcony facing Nicholson. Steady stream of vehicles/helicopters helping with relief and recovery for a good month after. Anybody remember During Rita the tent put up for BTE I think got flung into the power lines by Fred's/ Reggies and snapped a whole bunch of poles? I remember having a party for Rita but being without power for what seemed way longer.

Working as a police officer on the Ms Gulf Coast. I worked from Sunday morning till Thursday afternoon when I finally was let go for a few hours. We worked tirelessly for months trying to keep order in a crazy environment.
