Here's a tip if you don't wanna get fricked with

Back your vehicle into your parking spot.
Turn your tires full lock.
Set your parking break.

That way when they do get your vehicle, it will be 100% fricked up.

I went to buy some books from Chimes bookstore back in the day watched the tow truck driver sitting in the parking lot next to Mr. Gattis just wait for people to park and walk away and tow them one at a time. He got like 4 of them.

They wont tow you because it could possibly damage the car next to you.

Riverside would rip your shite up onto their flatbed regardless.

They'll throw it onto those jacks on casters and pull your car straight out.

Isn't the problem with this though, that locals are in their pocket as well? Who's going to regulate them if they're working together?

Possibly, but I'm just saying if you have no other choice, do what I said and it MIGHT save you some time and money.

Last time I checked, riverside didn't have this type of truck. If they do, yeah your're fricked.

Exactly.

The article states that the new bill will leave it up to local government to allow this.

I doubt EBR changes it.

With this method they'll just lift the front wheels and pull it straight out.

I volunteer at the Players Championship in Ponte Vedra in the parking lot. We mostly drink beer. Anyway, I've seen where those tow truck drivers can get cars out of. The driver this year showed me how they do it. You can't escape.

even better, if you follow the "Make Ribverside Pay" facebook page. The lawyer who runs the page posted this

quote:

$8,000 each paid for vehicles illegally towed by Riverside Towing. When Riverside Towing illegally tows a car, the property owner is usually liable also. A Baton Rouge bank that hired Riverside just paid $8,000 to each of my clients because Riverside illegally towed their vehicles. On top of that, we plan to make Riverside towing pay even more. In addition to my clients, 24 other vehicles were towed under the same contract. Those sheep paid Riverside and did nothing. It is a mystery to me why this site has 3,000 members, but so few people even file complaints when they are illegally towed. - Neil Sweeney, page administrator.

You're probably right, but if it's a smaller tow company with just a flatbed to drag your arse around, they won't touch it. I used to work for a family that own a towing company in BR.

lolololololololololololol

Man They have dollys to put on your wheels so it will move, but riverside don't even go that far, they will just drag your shite. I had video of them fricking up a Firebird that was parked like that. They made that thing squeal and make so much noise.

I'm starting to hate Moons even more. A buddy broke down and left his car on the side of the road in Waggaman, it got towed all the way to Causeway where Moon's is. He pays for it and they bring his car out with a fricking fork lift. They ripped the front bumper moving it and then say "we are not responsible for damage"

frick all tow truck drivers, even you Big Lee, but only because your lights all over your rig annoy me.

Here's a better tip: If you get towed on a Saturday night, wait until Monday to go get your vehicle. They open on Sunday, but they charge an extra fee for "Off Hours Pickup" that is greater than the additional day.
