If you like the Saint Street area, check out the Arabella neighborhood across Johnston street from Saint Streets. Some beautiful little homes in a beautiful little neighborhood.

Also there's a two dead end street neigborhood off Girard Park Drive between the park and S. College that seems quiet and has a few houses for sell. Huge oaks and a Hays Town home in there too. Really nice.

The one with carvings and statues in River Ranch is ridiculous.Half of the families in there are living way above their means, driving around in six seater golf carts with solo cups full of bourbon because they're too lazy to walk.

I call them Ranch Dividians.

Greenbriar is where it's at in Lafayette.

How are the schools in the Laffy area? There's a good chance my job could take me there within the next year, if I want to make the move. My company opened an office there recently and I could be the operations guy there.

River Ranch is ok, but who ever posted this must not get out much.

Funny when my grandfather was alive and a rice farmer the land where the mall is today was worthless. Now people are getting top dollar to live around the mall on land that was worthless at one time.

I hope they develop more around Ridge Road so I can make some money off my farmland.

I agree. I have family that lives there. Bendel Gardens pretty desirable too. My dad lives in a little S/D called Briar Ridge that is great.

I don't know. We've got a lot of leaky roofs in LA, so it could be true.

Are those lists proprietary in any way?

Would an outsider be able to see what properties a bank now holds?

You can find some good elementary schools, such as Plantation. Middle school is where it starts to get sketchy. If your kid is going to go to a public high school, make sure it is somehow Lafayette High. The rest are just average at best.

Depends on where you want to move, tbh. If you give more info, there's plenty of people who can help you out here.

I don't really know my budget yet, either. I'm not that far along in the process. I really like the Saint streets, too. I'd rather an older house with some character rather than the cookie-cutter McMansion thing out in Youngsville.
i knew we had more than one thing in common my man

That all depends on what you want. They've got houses on the vermillion river that go for anywhere from 500-1 mil and more.

But the houses between east bayou and kaliste saloom are more affordable for people but still vary bc they weren't all built with the same floor plan like the ones in youngsville and Broussard.

They also have big back yards. Our house sits on 1/3 of an acre which isn't that much but in youngsville the developers would've put 4 houses on that.

When my wife ran the comps, houses in the area bt east bayou and kaliste saloom were going for about 110-120 per sq ft. But since all the houses are different and have unique properties about them that number isn't as hard and fast as the new developments.

I tell you what though, it's great having everything we need bt pinhook and ambassador by just hopping onto kaliste saloom or running down east bayou and getting into settlers trace to get target, academy, albertsons, etc...

If you live within the square of Ambassador, Johnston, Kaliste Saloom and Pinhook, you've pretty much got it made location-wise.
