Also you can buy a dehumidifier that will do about 2000 square feet, similar to those used by the commercial companies, for less than $200 on Amazon.

He said he is pretty tied up at the moment, and not sure when he will be freed up unless someone else cancels.

I'll put his info on the recommended contractor thread.

BRSA, I have not read through this thread to figure out if you have found a company to help you. If not my brother in laws company is currently working in my parents subdivision(Shadows at White Oak), Azalea Lakes and Zachary. His next move its to Denham and then Ascension. He is local, insured, and bonded. Im risking it but here is my personal email, I am looking to help as many people as possible with his company, you will not be screwed and everything will be documented.

Buy a knife at Home Depot. Cut about a foot above water line and haul outside.

Do it yourself and save that money

I would. Trim is cheap and moisture makes wood swell. It'll never be the same.

A 1500 Sq ft house requires two units running 24/7 until it passes a moisture reading. Those units commercial guys use cost $800+ and remove way more moisture faster than a $200 unit will. You aren't buying anything even close to a true commercial unit for $200. A 50 ppd at Lowe's is over $200. I deal with dehumidifiers in moisture areas of homes all the time FYI.
