Hard to do without knowing what's important to you. Are you looking for low crime? Good nightlife? Best outdoor activity? Cheaper real estate? I've only lived in BR, NOLA, and Houston, but I've visited all of the others with the exception of Salt Lake City. For me, the order would be:

Boise
Boulder
Portland/Vancouver
Denver
Seattle
Raleigh
New Orleans
Charlotte
Baton Rouge
Houston

I'm single, 30s, no kids.

Denver is absolutely where id go if I could right now. So much to do, and so many people in my demographic.

the women are all young, in great shape, and come with moderate trust funds.

frick everywhere else.

All I can tell you is that Texas has no state income tax, affordable housing but real high property taxes.

Houston would probably have the best job market, all of Texas is growing like crazy.

Other than BR those are all great options. I'm not a huge fan of Houston, but it has a ton going for it.

Have fun.

Impossible to accurately determine without knowing more about your job, interests, social security number, and equifax score.

Why are Portland and Vancouver combined? They aren't even close to each other

How about you list the average price per square foot so that we can narrow it down. If it's expensive then it must be good cause the demand is high. If it's cheap then there's your worst place.

Seattle is a clear #1, Portland #2. Don't really are about the rest.

I was pretty underwhelmed with Denver though. After hearing about how great it was for years, it was just mediocre visiting. Bland, ugly, small downtown without much going on, etc.

What do you like to do? Party? Outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, cycling, running? What line of work are you in?
