A 12 pack a day for 15 years is equal to 5 miles of beer cans stacked end to end!! (65,700 cans)

i don't doubt you can hold your own but who really counts how many beers they drink after a certain age?

I did that shite as a teenager and up until I was like 23 maybe?

This is where I was about a year and a half ago. I was pouring an 8AM rum and coke when I finally had that "what the frick am I doing" moment. Checked into detox that afternoon. shite hasn't been gravy since then but it's sure been better. Just trying to keep it up.

How do you know what to buy if you don't know how much you need?

In my alcoholic days I knew exactly what I needed to drink.

You're going to need to be under medical supervision when you quit or youll probably have delirium tremens which can kill you.

But since you're still boozin, what's the weirdest/worst thing you've ever done drunk

if you aren't drinking hard liquor than it should be easier to quit.

i've seen family members and some friends totally change cause of the hard stuff.

shite you wouldn't believe me if I told you what i've seen/done because of alcohol.

even on the OT.

12 pack a day isn't shite as long as you are living an otherwise reasonably healthy lifestyle. Of course genetics come into play but unfortunately your doctor doesn't know shite about your liver unless he does a biopsy. Also 15 years means your brain doesn't know any other way two shut down at the end of the day. If you quit you in for some real hell, forget the withdrawals. Just keep it going and take those B vitamins in tons of water and go out like a man.

it varied for me.

i grew up with the idea I'd never drink cause I knew what it did to people.. personally.

but oh around age of 20 I was in over my head before I knew it. Sometimes it was a sixer.. sometimes 18.. then more after a big head start. I couldn't give you a precise count if I tried.

^^^ that would be my best guess right there^^^

I've quit for 24 hours before but that's because I had a root canal and got vicodin.

One time during mardi gras (circa 2001) I was so drunk i actually tried to pee in a street musicians guitar case... He called the cops and I got in one good shot before spending the night in jail.

I've been better since then.

Whatever you are physically able to do and however happy you find yourself, multiply that times 100 if you "quit alcohol."
