I recently started taking it and have noticed my appetite has decreased quite a bit.

This is common. I usually lose about 15 lbs my first week. I've been prescribed it 3 times.

Quick question, does it wake you up and get you going, or does it slow you down? It lays me out, I can sleep 18 hrs a day on Adderall. It's strange considering what the normal reaction for most people is to Speed.

Years ago my kid was on it. Loss of appetite was probably the main reason he stopped taking it. Grades went to shite once he was off the meds. He was a different kid on them in the classroom.

Omfg. Google

It causes decreased appetite. But that side effect goes away over time

I've never taken meth or coke or speed or anything like that, but focalin is like a super stimulant for me. Add in a natural adrenaline rush and life is good. Really good.

Ok what's the question?

I've been on it for ten years. My son has been on it about the same but just recently switched to vyvanse

We both eat normal. Well he eats like a fricking horse (15). He looks thin but is at the top of normal for his height and weight for his age

Maybe but that's not what the discussion was.

It was also kinda what her point was; hence, "google" rather than continue discussing.

I've been on Vyvanse ( basically the same thing as adderrall) going on 6 years now and this is the only problem I've had. You really just have to force yourself to eat while on it. The longer you take it, the more your body gets used to it, the easier it gets to eat while on it

Been on Vyvanse almost 6 years as well. If I don't eat within 2 hours of taking it, I start feeling really nauseated. I stopped eating carbs in the morning too because that seems to make it worse.

Wish I had speed in college. Do not give a shite if it's an unfair advantage or a crutch. As long as I have it.

Serious. ?...how hard is it to get a doc to prescribe it? Do you have to get tested? Or will an internist prescribe it ? A friend wants to know

I don't think you people need it

It should not cause you to speed. My son quit taking adderall because it made him too calm and took away his personality. Vyvanse is not bothering him

Go in and be average. They'll give it to you so you can be average with motivation.

I have a 30 mg prescription but only take it when I have tests. You'll definitely lose weight, make yourself eat.

Yes to all of this. I was tested when I was a kid and my parents were told I needed to be on it but they decided not to put me on it.

Did his appetite change after switching to Vyvanse? Just curious because Adderall made me anti-food but functional without it, while Vyvanse makes me feel sick without food, but I'm able to eat more.
