I'm getting a silicone band for work and day to day and a gold for going out and stuff.

I don't like to wear jewelry at all. But she isn't going to let me balk on the ring. The silicone is the compromise, but I may try titanium.

stories like this are scary, but my ring finger on my left hand is a pretty useless digit.

but titanium is too hard.

No it's not. Titanium, especially the common 6Al4V alloy, is easy to cut. It's softer than even cheap stainless steel alloys. Tungsten carbide rings are another story, they are very hard and difficult to cut without diamond coated abrasive discs which not all ER's have.

not sure if i believe this. Titanium is very cuttable, in addition to being lightweight and extremely corrosion resistant. the patient should sue your doctor friend for immediately jumping to amputation instead of acquiring the necessary tools

Desk jockey. Titanium with gold inlay. No issues. Super light doesn't scratch not overly shiney. Cost $150 and lifetime resizing if needed, they have to melt it down and reform it.

i got a titanium wedding ring

it was cheap, and looks exactly like a silver band.

i did not know, they scratch very easy

i was not paying hundreds for a ring, i might never wear. sorry, paid enough for her engagement ring and for wedding ring, that was good enough for me.

If you have a job in manual labor, sure. Only thing I have to worry about is Ring Avulsion.

Neil Armstrong lost a finger when his ring caught on something when he jumped down from the bed of his truck, more than one person has lost a finger when their ring caught in the net playing basketball. I hung my ring on a overhead ladder doing pull ups at a gym, fortunately I was able to pull up with the other arm and take the weight off and free it. Rings are a general hazard no matter what you do.

W=Wolfram,
The word Tungsten comes from Swedish (tung sten or "heavy stone").

Mrs. Füt got me a white gold alloy.

Wonderful choice. I recommend it.

Yea rings/watches are definitely a hazard.

If I ever get married, I'm getting whatever the most basic metal thing they make is.

How many pussies on this board get the QALO rings?

I'm a pussy.

I'm an operator, so work requires that I either don't wear a ring or wear a silicone one, due to rotating equipment that I work around. Plus, the silicone is better for when I work out.

As an aside, I'm an operator, but do not have truck nuts nor do I live in a trailer.

Exactly. I have too many assets and make too much money to ever share with some sloot.

Bitches be cray.

You'd think an ER would not only want but could easily afford a dremel and some cutoff wheels.
