Does anyone in the south really do that? I don't. I don't ever hear someone replace coke with pop or soda unless they specifically want a coke. I've lived in the south my whole life and never heard someone use it like everyone says as a replacement and I've been guilty of saying people in the south do that...weird....Sorry really just general question am I the only one?

No they don't. I've heard this in South Dakota, but I have never hear this I'm the actual south.

In IP this is "genericide". If I recall, Thermos faced this issue at one time.
