Models keep getting better and better, so I expect this to be more common over time.

It seems on brand for his Dad, really. It feels like any time there's a storm rolling through his area his Dad is driving in it.

Hell, it may run in the family. I think he said something about his Mom being on the roof the last storm.

Maybe it was a balcony. I can't remember.

Define “Deep South”? Baton Rouge metro or ellick and north? One concerns me, the other don’t.

There's literally a graphic in the OP showing you the area of concern at this point in time.

My wife will sometimes tell me about tornadoes in her dreams and how's shes running away from them.

I note I have tornado dreams too, but Im always trying to get closer.

She was on the roof

My dad stays on the road in western Alabama and eastern ms almost all day for work so when there’s an outbreak odds are he is near one

so a closer threat is starting to materialize for Thursday for those from east of Dallas down to SELA

Meteorologist Nick Mikulas
Here’s a bit of a curveball. Morning models came in a good bit stronger with the Thursday afternoon into Thursday night system. That prompted the Storm Prediction Center to upgrade most of the area into a slight, level 2 of 5 risk for severe weather. Morning runs definitely got my attention that we could see more than just an isolated severe storm or two. I’ll be watching this closely, along with the significant severe threat for next Tuesday and Wednesday. It’s definitely time to have your plan in place, and have that weather radio set to sound the alarm if it’s nighttime and a warning is issued. I’ll have a full update in the morning.

Tell me again why she was on the roof in the middle of a storm?
Hell, how old is she?

Spann mentioned this afternoon that much of Alabama is in a severe weather risk for Day 8. He said that this is only the 6th time since 2012 that they’ve issued a Day 8 risk.
