This is an honest to God's true story.

I was out in my shop looking for weed killer when I heard what sounded like a mouse in rafters above the little porch I had on the shop. It was enclosed but the rest was open. I stood in the doorway listening for the mouse or whatever the noise was. When suddenly a fricking snake falls from the top and lands directly on my neck. Head on the left, tail on the right. I screamed like a fricking girl. I didn't know what to do so I just grabbed it and slung it and ran around the yard in a panic.

Corn snakes are bad about that shite. Looking for bird nests and stuff. A snake in the air is a horrifying sight.

Yeah, you'd have to pay me a hell of a lot to live somewhere where that was common. And by a lot, I mean, like, multi millions a year so I could deforest the mile surrounding my house.

I was stopped at a toll booth in the ozarks of eastern Oklahoma, and my friend in the back seat looked out the window at the scenery. We were under an over hang, almost like a road overpass. Well my friend lets a big gasp, and rolls up the window. He said there was a big thick snake climbing up in the rafters. Mind you, this overhang was about 20 ft up.

not sure what GDCK means but back in April i was traveling around Round Top, TX with some friends and a snake (unidentified) slithered across the road and we accidentally ran over it. so we turned around and ran over it again, this time on purpose

I was at work last week and my S/O calls and says there is a GDCK on our front porch. I grab my pistol out of my desk drawer and haul arse home. I get there and that GDCK is sitting right at the top of my window trying to get some of that sweet AC that is keeping inside at about 65F. I didn't trust myself to hit the GDCK from that far with a pistol so I ran inside and got my 10 gauge and load it with 3 shells. I blast the GDCK and the window shatters sending the GDCK inside. I run inside and blast it 2 more times. I had to replace and window and still have 2 holes in my floor, but I killed the no good POS. Left him out in the yard with his guts out for all the other GDCK's to see what would happen if then treaded on me. I reloaded the gun for my boo, put my pistol back in my pocket, and went back to the plant to finish off my 92 hours for that week.

I was 4-wheeling with a friend on some TVA land up near Land Between the Lakes in TN. He's a little ways ahead of me and I hear him start cussing up a storm over the radio. I asked if he was alright. He radios back that I'll see in a minute. I roll up and he has run over the biggest rattlesnake I have ever seen. It wasn't particularly long by snake standards, maybe 6', but he was fat. Like bicep fat. And he had a head the size of my hand. Anyways, my friend had managed to rightly piss him off by rolling over him. He was coiled up and rattling. I picked up my right leg and put it on the left side away from the rattlesnake and roll past. As I roll past, he strikes at the 4-wheeler as I'm guessing the engine heat was a nice target. I see his fangs and they are massive. I about shite myself.

I used to be cool with snakes before that encounter, but since then I've had the fear of Jesus put in me.
