I was 11M in the Army.
Got my EIB in 1996.
I am not Airborne qualified through the military but I have 5 Static Line and 67 freefall jumps through a regular drop zone in 1996-1997. I had a B License through the USPA.
Gave it up and sold my rig when I got out of the military because there wasn't a drop zone close enough to Lake Charles to make it worth the drive for me.

We need the Air Assault vets to make a thread. I don't know anything about serving in an Air Assault unit.

I'm gonna break the rules of your post here because I was a damn proud soldier in the 101st Airborne Division back at the tail end of 'Nam in 1974. No, I didn't jump out of a perfectly good airplane but I soldiered with many who did- and I admired them greatly. I, instead gave them electricity in the field. That was my Rendezvous With Destiny!
