I don’t have an answer but I tell you what. It’s scary shite. My youngest son(3 at the time)touched a peanut to his mouth and complained that it was spicy. He went from that to anaphylactic shock within an hour. Not a good experience

Same exact thing happened to us with our daughter at the same age but with a cashew. Very scary. And the person earlier who said a nut is no longer just a nut is in the ballpark of the answer. I think food additives are to blame.

It’s been several years since I read a study but either Sweden or Norway have a snack much like cheese puffs but is made of peanuts. It’s given to baby like we give our kids Cheerios. They have little to no nut allergies.

My allergist is very clear on this - Vaccines and the preservatives used in them.

Funny but I don't remember any kids dying from allergic reactions growing up.

Do you know any now?

I don’t know any that died, but my 3 year old has 2 kids in her pre school class supposedly extremely allergic. They don’t allow nuts in the school now. One of them also is allergic to eggs badly, apparently.

If I had to guess, it’s probably something to do with the advancement of modern science and medicine. People were really fricking stupid “back then” (and yeah I know they are today also) including doctors. So it was probably just as rampant back then but people didn’t understand it, much like a lot of medical issues. Just my guess

huh? A nut allergy might be the easiest medical diagnosis a doctor could possibly make. If you eat a nut and you go into anaphylactic shock, you probably have a nut allergy.

You are a fricking idiot. My son has a severe nut allergy which was discovered when he was 2 or 3 years old. How is that being a pussy?

I had a similar situation but with crawfish not oysters. My sister born in the early 80s was severely allergic to milk and eggs.

No he’s actually very smart, you are a moron. There is a widespread problem here and vaccines are not the same nor manufactured the same and are administered in bulk to kids, not spread out over time

The vaccines are manufActured differently, and administered differently (they try to hit your kid up with about 4 different shots in once visit now).

Think about it, it is very rampant now and we aren’t talking about minor irritation this is shock that requires epinephrine. Something is going on and I don’t doubt the vaccine theory although like many things it’s not totally proven

I’m curious how much it’s that we know almost exactly what’s in the foods we eat now, and parents are helicoptering their kids. Back then, you may get small amounts of something here and there. Such as already said, cooking in peanut oil, no one knew.

I have 0 experience with this, but I know of at least 2 parents who have put their kids through whatever it’s called where you give slowly give them more and more of the allergen until they are over it.

And I honestly stand behind that statement. Untouched seeds, nuts or whatever simply don't exist anymore. Most by law and by company contract astonishingly.
