Fat kids are one thing, but not to hijack this thread, the ADA makes companies hire fat workers, regardless of how fat they are & how being that fat prevents them from doing their jobs. Working in risk mgt at a large shipyard, I saw obese worker after obese working being hired & most never lasted a week. Went straight to workers compensation AND had their diet plans paid for under workers compensation. Said diet plans being a joke.

if your child is considered fat or obese, you should have to pay a fine.

One, I'm not a fan of giving the government more of our money; they would just waste it.

B) Why not allow people who eat healthy and exercise to pay less for health insurance? That way, you provide financial incentive for overweight people to live healthier lifestyles.

Sonic at 9am? You get too fat to hold a job? What's it like moving 20 feet and being out of breath? National Association for the Advancement of Fat People Bet you're a ranking member of this club.

assumptions are made and assumptions are wrong. It's easy to look at an overweight person and go that's nasty they must be lazy, but here's the thing. That's not always the case. That person may have been bigger and lost weight. That person may struggle with it everyday. Everytime you go out to eat with friends you hear "hey I know you are on a diet, but you can have a cheat day right". You don't know what's like to lose enough weight were your metabolism slows to try to put it back on. To limit yourself to 1500 calories a day and work out 5 days a week, and see a grand total of 2 pounds drop off the scale in a month.

You don't know what it's like to get so frustrated you want to give up. To have to go to specialty shops to buy clothes. To spend a year and half eating right and losing 100 pounds only to have your progress stall for 4 months.

So make the assumption a 300 pound man might be lazy. Make the assumption he doesn't run nearly every day. Make the assumption he doesn't lift weights 4 days a week and has gotten stronger than he ever has in his life. Call that guy fat when he is tired of struggling and has heard enough.

and the only government intervention I require would be the government to tell fatty to eat less when he tries to sue for "discrimination".

I mean they already pay more in terms of food and consumables, thus more sales tax to feed the fat kids.

Fat people and their kids do wonders to help the self esteem of others. They have their place.

I never took OP for a big government, nanny-state liberal progressive.

But that's what he is from the looks of it.

Most children under 15 do not have health problems related to obesity that is charged to the state at such a young age.
