Not everyone would face the same here but as one of the olds here, I guarantee you my parents wouldn't even think of suing over my expulsion. In fact, every day they didn't give me another cent for education would be my lesson. If this kid sulks and sues he's not learning a damn thing.

^^^^ This. Plus the president said they were creating a "hostile environment for other students". The right action was taken.
Also freedom of speech does not mean you're free from consequences.

They are not being arrested. They are being punished.
Free speech does not protect you from corporations or public institutions. It protects you from being arrested and charged with a crime.
I thought "Words and actions have consequences" was a mantra on this site.
