I recently came across this record while looking for 45's to add to mom's jukebox. You can smell the 60's with this song. It's bluesy, churchy and just cool to listen to.

Side A: Earl Grant -- "Silver Bells" (1965)

Side B: Earl Grant -- "Jingle Bells" (1965)

Handel Messiah - Hallelujah Chorus

Actually an Easter "song," but fantastic.

I am partial to the original A Very Special Christmas album.

U2--Please Come Home for Christmas
Run DMC--Christmas in Hollis
Bruce Springsteen--Merry Christmas, Baby
Bon Jovi--Back Door Santa

and many more.

Of the traditional ones, I think it's hard to beat the emotion O Holy Night evokes when sung well. I also love O Come Emmanuel. One of my favorites back in the day was a version of The Twelve Days of Qwanza. ( Chlamydia, Champagne! )

I really enjoy Christmas music for about one month a year. Some favorites:

Blue Christmas: Elvis
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen: I like the version by the Barenaked Ladies and Sara McLaughlin
Holly Jolly Christmas: Burl Ives
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas: Frank Sinatra
