Check out Original Grain or WeWood. Both are wooden watches. They are not overly expensive or flashy but they are unique. I have a WeWood and I get complements on all the time.

Paging Broke. Seriously though, reading one of his threads convinced me to get a Seiko 173 diver's watch.

You can spend a little less and get a nice Tag Carrera or spend a little more and get a nice Omega.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39 with Grey dial. Timeless and can be worn with anything.

$5700

Plenty of nice Omegas as well.

You want a dress watch, business casual watch, or a sport/dive watch? Lots of people jump straight to a dive watch because of the Rolex submariner being so popular. I personally got my business casual watch (Ball Cleveland Express, which can easily be worn with a suit or jeans depending on which band is on). Next is a sport watch, then a true dress watch.

Next strap I'm getting is this color. One I've got on it now is falling apart and too dark (I typically wear shoes and a belt closer to this color).

Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean is dope

Whatever you do, don't buy from a gray market dealer like Jomashop or AuthenticWatches. They sometimes sell real watches and sometimes sell high quality knockoffs. There's a reason you can buy for sometimes 40% less. If you're ok with spending 4 grand on a fake with no manufacturer's warranty then go ahead though. Don't buy from Amazon either. If you want to make sure it's real, buy from an authorized dealer.

The Planet Ocean with 8500 Movement + Ceramic Bezel will go around $6200.00

I bought my Tag from Tourneau. It's just a good feeling to know you have a real one if something goes wrong with it. And believe me, there are VERY high quality fakes.

I have owned the first generation planet ocean chronograph since 2008 or so. It has held it's value pretty well but not as well as a submariner from the same time would have. Whatever you do , don't pay retail. Find yourself a trusted seller on the rolex forums for whatever brand you buy. If you want to be a bit different, a base Panerai is nice.

Jomashop and authentic watches don't sell fakes. I think one was passed through there long ago but that was the only instance and they made it right.

I found that funny too. As if the Omega is rare or dignified in ways that Rolex isn't.

I've heard of plenty of issues with Jomashop, but none for authenticity of products
