In need of a new pair of running shoes and have a gift card to Dick's sporting goods. Saw on their website that these are on sale for $99.99 (regular 209) They would be used for gym workouts and light running (about 15 miles a week) Curious for those that have had this shoe how well it holds up, comfort level, etc. Tia

That's going to be different for everyone. I run in On Clouds ... HATED the Mizuno pair that I tried (can't remember and that's fine by me).

Does Dick's have a 30 day return policy?? I'd check that out and if not I'd go else where. Are you still in the Lafayette area? Try one of the local running stores (yeah I know you have a gift card but ...) as they'll take returns up to 30 days.

So much shoe.

I went minimalist a few years ago and I simply can't wear anything with a heel rise or thick sole anymore.

But, to each his own.

I've heard decent things about this shoe from some guys at the running store.

This is what I am a little worried about. I really do not like the look of a bulky shoe but I guess appearance is not that important. I have been running in New Balance fresh foam for the past year and though they are not minimalist they are light weight and have a fairly low heel rise. Not sure how I would feel about a thick sole.

I wouldn't by anything with out trying them on first. By running shoes that don't fit sucks

They look cool but I'm not sure about function. I rock a pair of asics and they are amazing shoes and very simple. You should just go try on a few pairs and the ones that fit well google for reviews before buying.

I don't know about that shoe. It looks a little "clunky". I have had Mizuno Wave Runner shoes for like 10 years. I just keep getting the new model. The Mizuno shoes hold up well and are well built. That's about all I have. Good luck.

How well do they hold up especially the soles? I must have a weird stride or something because I am hell on a pair of soles.

the $100 price range?

I just bought some NB Vazee Pace. They are ok. I bit too much shoe for me, but I've ran in them a couple of times on shorter runs with the wife.

I really love mizuno shoes, especially the wave inspire. I need some stability from over pronation yet they are very light. I have these coming in today

mine have worn very well. i don't know how often you change shoes but for a runner you shouldn't go longer than a couple of months
