OT Poors - Do you cut grass on weekend or workday?

I know most here just have the gardener cut it every day, so this topic is just for the OT poor people...

My wife (pic is to the left) does not understand why I cut my grass on my work days instead of on the weekends, like the rest of my neighborhood.

I rather get home with 2-3 hours of daylight left and knock it out, freeing up my days off.

What da OT Po' do?

Ya, I try to do it during the week as well. Hate doing it on the weekend.

Monday-cut. Tuesday, rake. Wednesday-Friday, bale.

Usually on a weekend while my wife is home from work so she can watch my son. If I want to do it on a weekday, I'll knock it out while he naps.

I prefer a weekday cut as well. Finish up with an ice cold beer in the shower then get out eat dinner and drink 10-12 more

When I cut my own grass, I loved doing it during lunch. Decent sized corner lot. I had it down to where I could get it done in 45 minutes (I got an hour and a half lunch).

Two biggest wastes of money IMO:

Paying someone to cut your grass

Housekeeper

Think of the money spent of the aforementioned over a 25 year span and how it affects your retirement. You'll be astonished as to how much people waste on these two services.

I ride my mower and drink while doing so. Or I just let the horses deal with it.

But it surely takes a lot of stress out of my everyday life leaving me time for my hobbies. I can go for a run after work instead of cleaning the toilets. I can ride my bike on the weekend instead of cutting grass. I'm saving up for retirement well enough. No reason to hate life now.

Depends on what kind of money you make. An attorney who pays a housekeeper $100 a week to clean his house and a yard guy $50 a week to maintain the lawn, and charges clients $300 an hour is making a wise financial decision.
