Simple math. $500 a month or more for the aforementioned services times 20-25 years. Think of that sum and how nice it would be to have at retirement. Now, if you're household income is well over 300,000 then this may or may not apply to you. I know several couples that don't sniff $150,000 combined and waste $500 - $700 per month on these services.

I like to travel. The thought of a round trip ticket to Europe or Asia is 2-3 months of these services. Sorry, I'll cut my own grass and clean my own house.
