I've been doing so well with weight loss and weight lifting that I didn't want to screw it up getting injured in BJJ class.
Honestly, BJJ is really harmless if you are in a legit school that focuses on BJJ fundamentals instead of MMA. We try to keep everyone healthy because the last thing we need is students getting hurt and missing mat time or worse, quitting because of a bad injury. However, when you get a younger dude that has been training for a little while and he sees some bigger guy with some color on his belt, he tries to out muscle you which is not the principle of BJJ at all.

I did 565 for 2 this morning. Trying to get up to 600
Have to ask, steroids? Not that it takes away from that, still an amazing feat
I've always wanted 600, still do, but I don't know. At my peak, 2-3 years ago I did 555#. I've lost some strength since, can still do 500 but don't know if I'll ever get to 600

At 19?! Wow. Did you stop lifting hard afterwards? Can only imagine what your body would've been doing at 23-24.

No clean as a whistle. Not saying that gear is a bad thing either and maybe once did a cycle in my illustrious past but not now since I do jits tournaments and don't need that hanging over my head. Just always been freaky strong on deads and squats. My squat is just about the same as my deads in weight and I am pretty anal about my squat depth since I got red flagged in a meet for not proper depth. Now I probably go too low even though I don't power-lift anymore.
My flat bench sucks though. I can barely get a legit 405 even though I weigh 220. Probably cause all I do is dumbell presses these days.

Ed Coan was a freak of nature in his prime.

I can do 585, but I'm only 36.
When I'm 67 I hope the heaviest thing I'm lifting is my Beach umbrella

I had good genetics to deadlift. Plus good coaching, had a shitty diet however and was too stubborn.
I pulled 365 at a 165 bw for my first time ever deadlifting.
It took a toll on my joints last time I pulled 500 was 4 years ago.
I can still deadlift 405 without really training much today

That all depends on the lifter and his/her leverages and bodyweight

Hopefully by the time I'm 67 I'll have robot legs.
