Provocative new study finds bullies have highest self esteem, social status, lowest rates of depression

So that means when your parents, or you as parents say, he's just bullying you because he's jealous...that's NOT TRUE!

(INB4 for my case it was 'she')

Seeing that we have an over-PC society now, I gladly understand that not standing up for myself acquiescing to your bullying I am actually part of the solution!

Why don't people realize that bullying is just establishing a social pecking order in this day and age, far removed from simpler terms/items/behaviors in nature?

Everyone knows this.

Schools and parents tell losers the opposite to make them feel better.

This doesn't really surprise me. The bullies were the cool kids that people looked up to.

It's like I learned at an early age and have told my son as he's growing up. Bullies understand only one thing and that's fear. They want to instill fear into others and the only thing that will stop them is for you to instill fear into them. Period. Unless you make them fear you, they'll keep on bullying you for as long as they want.

I think people always knew this but SJW try to spin it like they have something mentally wrong with them. Same thing when they say people who try to outlaw gay marriage are secretly in the closet. Most of the time bullies are just assholes.

To me bullying is simple. If you're getting bullied, it's because you're the easiest to bully. Make it difficult, and the other person moves on.

Or if you're really sadistic, play the victim, then open up a big can of whoopass at the right time for kicks and giggles.

I was bullied a lot when I was a kid. I was really odd, and 2 years younger than the kids in my grade. So I was relatively small, and insecure.

Bullys could smell my fear and harassed me. I never thought they were insecure, just opportunistic.

And there are a lot of successful assholes

I never bullied, but I was friends with bullies. I would casually tell them to chill out sometimes if it went too far, but I was no saint.

I never got bullied and I have no idea why. I wasn't nerdy and I was pretty good at all the usual sports so I am sure that helped, but I never "instilled fear" in anyone as Darth suggests kids do.

ETA:

I attribute it to having 3 older siblings that gave me constant hell. I wasn't scared of shite from kids my own age after what my hellion siblings put me through

When I was in second grade, there was one kid who weighed 250 lbs and used to take everyone's lunch money all the time. I used to keep to myself cause I was a bit of a brooding loner type that all the girls wanted but were too intimated to talk to. Anyway, this guy was beating up a little girl one day right in front of me so I quietly got up and gave him the beating of a lifetime. He would later thank me for teaching him an important life lesson (of course this would be years later), but that day the only thing that came out of his mouth were sobs if pain. I was celebrated as a hero for the rest of elementary school.

This is from a movie, but I can't figure out which.

Turn that into a longitudinal study and my bet is that the results would be drastically different.
