My high school (Plano TX) was too big to really have bullies. The graduating classes were the largest in the country, until the football boosters finally relented to have a new school built. And yeah no more state titles after that.

Anyway it was more like a small college with a mix of dumbasses and smart kids... Bullies just got lost in the shuffle along with everyone else.

I never got to experience it either way and for that I'm a little sad.

Why don't people realize that bullying is just establishing a social pecking order in this day and age, far removed from simpler terms/items/behaviors in nature?

Exact thing I taught my 8 yr old son after he got billed one day. Life consist of predators and prey… which do you want to be?

The handful of bullies I recall from school are all dead now. One drowned, one burned up in an industrial accident, one had cancer, and another was fatally struck in the head with a pool cue.

Karma is a bitch.

I was the bully in elementary school (private school), but quickly learned the difference between private school bullies and public school bullies when I went to public school 8th grade and high school.

I was never really bullied, maybe picked on a few times in high school, but I always ended up making friends with everybody. I really didn't have any enemies in high school.

Yeah, I guess we need to define "bullies".

I know the definition can be broad but some slightly older and/or bigger kid dicking around with you doesn't seem to fit the real (for lack of a better word) definition in this case because, if so, just about everybody has taken a spin on both side of that equation.
