Stop talking to her now, and forever. It will only end bad.

Be Jody and hit it, you'll never know if it was meant to be if you don't. A first marriage is a "starter" marriage anyway and shouldn't count.

she's bolstering her ego...the fact that you even replied to her has made her realize she still has you wrapped around her finger...

I like this passion. But...

She's using you to feel good about herself b/c her husband doesn't make her feel wanted anymore.

How does a "Fight" end it all?

The fact she would basically be open to cheating on her current husband should tell you she would be open to cheating on you too.

Low standards you have if you use her for the benchmark

Let's talk about this. How does a "fight" end it all?
you people must be a bunch of damn Frogs and eye-ties

We Scotchmen can start an argument over the most trivial of matters and blow it up into a relationship-ender with GFs, friends, relatives, you name it.

And we never forget or forgive a grudge

Not long. Maybe a year. If they had been married for a long time I’d tell her to get lost which is probably what I should do anyway but for some reason I just can’t. I have the same questions she does I just never voiced them.

A fwb from 23 years ago recently hit me up on messenger. Her husband, who she was engaged to when I was plowing, has cancer. Hadn't heard a word nor laid eyes on her in the past 23 years.

Still looks damn good for her age. Debating.

Sounds like you dated this girl when you were a kid. Most people change a ton as they get older, and you're just remembering who she was (and who you were) back then. There's a chance you'd find her annoying, unattractive, etc. now.

The only questions that matter are
1. Why didn't you marry her in 9 years
2. Why did a 'fight' end your relationship?

I can relate. I've been with my gf for over 10 yrs now. We haven't gotten married b/c she hates me but doesn't want to start over. Okay I'm kidding as she saw this and hit me!
And our fights end with me at Walmart and texting her "Do you need avocados?"

Not really. You're just letting nostalgia justify your boner.

Your standard bearer is a married woman texting you behind her husband's back? Yeah, you should definitely drop everything to get back with this winner.
