I'm pretty sure they've got pacemakers that are remotely accessible like that.

They do and they've been proven to be hackable.

Remote control access is scary as there is no such thing as an unhackable system.

The fact that some on here are all for this is flat out scary and sad.

No wonder this country is going to shite.

A lot of patients with poor compliance would benefit from this. Not completely sold on the remote control aspect. But if their blood sugars/ blood pressures are better controlled, it will make medicine a lot better in the wallet for everyone else.

There was a plot to do just that to Dick Cheney.

A doctor would theoretically be able to adjust the dose, or stop the drug altogether, by remote control.

This could be fun!!!

They already have insulin pumps for diabetics. I know a guy with one.

I don't get how there isn't some sort of drug database you can sign up for that monitors what drugs you are getting. Sort of off topic, but people have problems when they get different prescription from different doctors and are mixing medications. Seems like this would be easy to program something that a pharmacy could you to double check your shite.

I'm pretty sure most pharmacies have a similar system.

Back on topic, maybe I'm not understanding this, but how does the medicine get into the microchip for it to deliver in to your blood stream? Seems like this would be most useful for people who take multiple medications more than once a day, but where is the medicine stored?
