You also have to consider that radio is free. Advertisers pay for radio.

White men are turned into am radio politics/sports....not enough left to listen to music en masse

Because apparently one station isn't enough for people to get their shitty dirt road song fix

Don't worry in the near future when your only other choices are traditional Mexican, Spanish hip hop, all Spanish soccer all the time, country music on an English speaking station will seem like a great thing.

WWOZ 90.7 FTW

The only station worth a shite on non-satellite radio IMO. That and KLSU. People listen to regular radio?

94.3 is a good station, if oldies is your thing. They play some real classic rock, too

rock is dead - move on - sad but true. Kids aren't forming new rock bands anymore.

Over the weekend I listened to 104.1-2 "The Alternative Project" for a little bit. It wasn't too bad. I don't remember there being any commercials.

Not true. 97.9 from Wiggins(Saucier tower) is the best I have heard in the past 15 years. If you don't think so, you either do not like rock or have not listened to the station.

It sucks because the only place you can pick it up in LA the dirty dell, and it is mainly for South MS coasties

Satellite radio for the car, pandora at the home and office. Local radio blows in this town.

Pandora is awful too unless you pay 3 bucks a month to avoid ads. I just pay a little more for mobile XM and use my aux in my truck

fricking this. what the kids call rock these days is that terrible hipster garbage coming out of austin, and what the kids call metal these days is that black anti-religion shite out of scandinavia. there really isnt much out there for us anymore, and I place the blame squarely on the nu-metal/rap bullshite that broke out in the late 90s with the likes of Korn.

I still listen to Octane occasionally and there are some good bands to be heard such as Volbeat, but as a whole rock is fricking dead.

I don't pay and I don't get adds

Pandora does get old after a while because they play the same 20 songs over and over again

Music is dying period and being replaced by pop bullshite. Rock is being killed by the screamers and emo figs.

But it shall return one day, my brothers.
