Kids will never know the difference between those and "pearls."

I usually buy 100 or 200 dollars or so from Endymion. ( I like their signature packages).

I guess we actually hustle for a lot of our beads. We know tons of people who go to damn near every parade.

So we receive a lot of beads from friends then sort them by size and condition.

After that we buy the reconditioned beads from another source.

I ride Endymion and we place a big bead order for 9 riders so we get a big discount. Our "base" beads are the twist beads. Everything else is speciality beads. We placed an extra order this year for a bunch of heart type beads since Endymion is rolling on Valentine's Day next year.

I knew it had to be close to Valentine's Day.

That should make it interesting next year

Kinda like this? (roughly)

My favorite.

Love them.

Reminds me of being a kid.

I rode in Tucks last year. I bought two packages if tucks signature stuff. 6-7 bags of decent sized purple and gold beads. And two bags of your run of the mill PGG

And yea after Lee circle, you are literally throwing bag upon bag. So much fun.

It's a rule in tucks that you have to buy at least one package of tucks signature stuff. And you can't throw beads from other krewes. This pisses me off the most. Can't stand going to one of the smaller parades and catching Bacchus beads. Ruins the integrity of the parade IMO

Also have a couple of contacts in Endymion, looking to join in a couple of years.

see this is why Endymion is making us wear those damn ropes no matter if you are on the upper level or lower level. Things are so freaking annoying

Paramedic companies are known for taking advantage of the sick and injured. I don't know about exaggerating.

Clearly there are some Endymion riders in here. Have some Extravaganza questions for anyone who has ever been:
1. Can someone tell me what the face value on Extravaganza tickets is?
2. Is it worth it to pay full face value?
3.Do you have to wear a tux?
4. Do tickets include food or booze?

Not riding but going:

-$170/ticket
- never seen anyone sell them for less than $170 unless they were trying to dump a single. Carrie underwood is limiting the availability in the secondary market
- yes, tux is required
- no, byob and food for your table

Thanks for the info. Follow up question:

Would a suit be acceptable or does it have to be a tux?

Thanks for being a smartass. Just asking a simple question - Obviously I have never been, so I just want to make sure I know what is acceptable.

Tickets are priced differently. Plaza tickets are the cheapest and they are 170. Floor tickets are more.

You're an idiot too.

New Orleans EMS isn't known for anything but saving the most lives per year.

New Orleans EMS

Also I'm a Endymion rider as well ( 10th year ) 975 dues, 1100 on nothing but blinking necklaces and wands. 120 on Krewe beads.

Floor tickets are $190 (byob and byof). The Loge Level is $210 and includes buffet and open bar. The Bunker Club also includes a buffet and open bar, but is $250 per ticket. This year is a tough ticket so I doubt you will find anything cheaper.

Tuxedo is absolutely required. I remember when I went before I became a rider and they were not letting guys in that had a windsor tie instead of a bow tie. Bunch of old farts weren't up on the latest fashion trends.

ETA: There are some members on the Endymion message board that are trying to sell tickets right now. Not sure if they are still available.

It's the OT bro.

Dude says a "Suit is REQUIRED"
and you ask "is a suit okay"?

I think I answered it exactly right, but I do apologize as it was a little snipish.
