Got a wide range of stuff. I have about 100 gross of beads. Smallest being 42" 12 MM. Have the assorted purple green and gold, pearls, and About 25 gross of the 48" pink pearls. a gross of those huge arse big titttay beads for the special ladies of course. I also bought 15 bags of our krewe footballs and 1k cups. Have some stuffed animals, lighted wands and a shite load of the glow in the dark arm and neck bands. Bought some of the endymion yard dogs and a couple of our throw packs.

Honestly, I say every year I'm going to cut back by the time I'm finished, I don't remember how much excess I threw. I do remember a few years ago tossing full zipped up bags off the side as we were rolling out the dome.

Both in alla. Amateur hour over there, send them back to the westbank.

Today in Carrollton we all had the safety belts and were checked and video-ed. It's a point of emphasis with city this year.

seriously??

reconditioned.

Just say you throw used beads like the truck float riders. For shame for an Endymion rider IMO

if your captain knew that, you wouldn't be in the parade anymore. re-conditioned beads = trash

I have never heard some one call used beads reconditioned. Why ride the top tier Krewe, if you can't afford decent throws?

STFU they look like brand new.

I think you are an idiot if you buy brand new beads every year.

And that's not all I buy dipshite.

ETA: My family has been riding in this parade since the start of Endymion

How much do you guys spend on dues/throws/all in costs to ride?

I spend ~$500 dues, right around $2k on beads and plush toys, etc. I ride in Thoth, we pass Children's Hospital and a few other places with sick & disabled kids so we're pretty big on that. We're usually just dumping shite from Lee Circle back to Tchoup.

ETA: The people bragging about not wearing their harness are just frickin stupid. Normally when we get on the float we're on top of 3-4 feet of boxes and bags. It's pretty easy to fall off especially considering you're normally shitfaced by the time you get rolling. If you don't wanna wear it that's cool, don't brag about the shite though.

and I think throwing recycled beads is something reserved for people who ride on truck floats.

difference of opinion I guess.

I bet you couldn't tell the difference between the beads I throw and the shite that others throw who buy brand new beads do.

I mean what happens to beads that you throw off?

People catch them place them in a bag and then leave them in said bag.

You are waisting money if you buy brand new beads.

But I can understand if you wanted to shell out a little money to get signature throws and shite.

I do that every year.

The worst is people that throw the rinky-dink, shitty beads. I couldn't care less if people wanna throw "refurbished" beads or whatever but at least make sure they're decent sized pearls.

We stick to pretty much just long pearls; purple, green, gold, and the occasional pink for the ladies. You start breaking out shite like this and people are gonna wonder who let you on the float...

Yep that's what I usually get. I like the bright colored pearls.

That portion for us is Canal St. at the very end so you're either throwing just straight bags of pearls or empty boxes. It's fun to hang a box over the side and see everyone freaking out and pushing each other to get to it and then they find out it's empty.
